Commissioned for a private residence, Irregular Horizontal #1 directly engages with the changing light, shifting shadows, and colors of the intimate garden directly opposite the work. Experienced frontally and from the oblique, the garden and atmosphere of the day collages across the work's mirrored surface. As dusk approaches, color emerges from the undulating mirrored surface presenting tinted views of the environment. As the sun fully sets, the work transforms to become floating fields of shifting color in the night.
